RemainderRaccoon

This simple footling game came from 25 Super Absurd Math Board Games  by Lorraine Hopping Egan and is geared towards kids in Grades 3-6.

The object of the game is to get your raccoon from start to cease first.   How do you do that?   Look at the number your Raccoon is standing on.   Spin the spinner, and separate the number yous're standing on by the number on the spinner.   Whatever the residual is indicates how many spaces your Raccoon gets to move.

Sometimes, y'all'll finish up with a high remainder, but other times yous'll finish up with a residue of goose egg!

This is a game my son will beg to play round after round of.   During play, he is solving many, many long division problems…it's so much ameliorate when information technology's disguised within a game!

I actually similar the 25 Super Cool Math Board Games book because it is packed full of fantastic easily-on ways to have fun with math.   The pages are all printed in black & white, so I colored our game board & spinner because I like colour.

Topics within the book include Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Partitioning, Mixed Computation, Fractions & Decimals, Geomerty & Measurement, Probability & Statistics, & Logical Thinking.   Whew!   This looks similar enough review options to proceed kids entertained for years…nosotros have merely played Rest Raccoon and I tin can't wait to play other games to review math concepts.
