Black Gang Member Knocks Woman Out in Park

A police investigation has been launched to find a gang of thugs who knocked out a vulnerable autistic teenager in a savage attack.

Harrison White was set upon by the gang while he rode his skateboard at a park in Whitley Bay, near Newcastle, on Sunday night.

The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital where medics discovered he had suffered a broken nose after being targeted by two boys and two girls.

Northumbria Police have confirmed they are investigating while a bruised and traumatised Harrison recovers at home, Chronicle Live reports.

His mum, Sarah Hetherington, has told how the incident has left her lad terrified of returning to the place where he was happiest.

The 48-year-old said: "He's really upset and I'm really angry. He loves his skateboard and he spends a lot of his time at the skate park.

"He felt like it was somewhere he could go to feel safe."

Skateboard-mad Harrison was near the skate park on The Links with a friend when the incident happened, at around 7pm last night.

Sarah, who was at home in New York in North Shields, sent a taxi to pick her son up after his pal phoned her to say he had been attacked and knocked unconscious.

The worried mum took her son to hospital where it was discovered he had a broken nose.

Harrison, who struggles with communication, has not been able to tell Sarah exactly what happened, but he said he was approached by two older lads and two girls, and one of the lads asked to have a go on his skateboard.

"You can't get a lot out of Harrison, he finds it difficult to explain things, as he has autism and ADHD," Sarah explained.

"He was down at the Whitley Bay skate park, near where the ice cream parlour is, and there were two lads and two lasses.

"One of them had a bottle of Bud in his hand. He asked Harrison if he could have a go on his skateboard and Harrison let him, then he just punched him.

"His friend said Harrison was unconscious for a few seconds. I sent a taxi down for him and as soon as I saw him I took him to hospital."

And Sarah, who is a special needs teacher, said the experience has been very traumatic for her son.

Harrison suffered multiple injuries

"He's really really anxious, and he gets really anxious about medical procedures and things," she said.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "At 8.15pm yesterday we received a report that a teenager had been assaulted at a skate park on the Links in Whitley Bay.

"It was reported that the 15-year-old male victim had suffered facial injuries after being punched by another male.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police,"

Anyone with any information should call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting log number 1044 210321.
